Clear old user id and password - How do I clear my old user id and password out of my browser?

We have a couple of things for you to try.

This really has nothing to do with 'cookies'.

This problem is caused by settings within your browser.

Assuming you are using MSIE ( MicroSoft Internet Explorer ), we have 2 things for you to try.

We would like to be be more specific, but with all the 'upgrades' that MicroSoft has issued, and these upgrades seem to be implemented in slightly different ways on different computers and browser versions (trying to keep up with all of MicroSoft's upgrades is an impossible task)

Your problem is caused by your browser's remembering how to complete the 'login form' and is malfunctioning by not letting you override it when its attempt fails.

Suggestion #1:
1) click on the 'TOOLS' option on your browsers navigation bar at left hand top of you browser
2) then select 'INTERNET OPTIONS'
3) click on the 'SECURITY' tab
4) click on the CUSTOM LEVEL box at the bottom of that screen
5) scroll down in the window displayed to the very bottom.. and in the 'USER AUTHENTICATION section, click on 'PROMPT FOR USER NAME AND PASSWORD'
6)click ok.. and 'ok out' of that option
7) shut down all of your browser windows
8) start up your browser again and go to our site and attempt accessing the library again.

IF that doesn't work....

Suggestion #2:
1) click on the 'TOOLS' option on your browsers navigation bar at left hand top of you browser
2) then select 'INTERNET OPTIONS'
3) click on the 'CONTENT' tab
4) click on the 'AUTO COMPLETE' box in the PERSONAL INFORMATION section of the form
5) remove checks in boxes FORMS and USER NAMES AND PASSWORDS on FORMS
6) CLICK on CLEAR FORMS and CLEAR PASSWORDS
7)click ok.. and 'ok out' of that option
7) shut down all of your browser windows
9) start up your browser again and go to our site and attempt accessing the library again.

One of the other of the procedures above should clear up your problem.
